Description of the MedIT WorkshopThe MedIT Workshop intends to contribute to the development of the Romanian educational system according to current international standards. Modern medical education implies including alongside the traditional educational methods new technologies that allow distance teaching. Telemedicine has evolved from a distance assisted diagnosis and treatment method to an efficient way of sharing medical knowledge and skills between healthcare professionals. On the other hand, wide access to electronically published medical information has raised several ethical problems that need to be immediately and adequately addressed. In this respect, the MedIT Workshop will table an articulate analysis of the current educational methods used in the Romanian medical educational system. At the same time, the workshop will try to identify the most appropiate ICT solutions that best fit the Romanian educational system. The debates will be the starting point for developing further strategies and recommendations to be presented to stakeholders of the medical field. AimThe MedIT Workshop aims to promote the implementation of modern and efficient ICT solutions in the Romanian medical educational system according to current international standards. ObjectivesThe objectives of the MedIT Workshop are:
Target groupThe target group consists of 30 medical doctors and 30 medical students summoned from the major Romanian university centers.
